Beywheelz is a Japanese anime series which was originally created to fill the gap caused by the missing episodes of Beyblade Metal Fury and later Beyblade Shogun Steel. Instead of spinning tops as in Beyblade it features wheels. Therefore players are also called Wheelers instead of Bladers

DevelopmentEdit

From August 11, 2012 until October 6, 2012 13 episodes were broadcasted (as Beyblade Metal Fury only had 39 episodes instead of the 52 expected. In December 2012 it was announced that Beyblade Shogun Steel only has 26 episodes instead of 39 and thus Beywheelz was renewed for another 13 episodes, which will most likely air starting in early August of 2013 after the conclusion of Beyblade Metal Fury.

The Italian dub used the original Japanese credits, which suggest that a Japanese dub of Beywheelz exists, though it hasn't been broadcasted in Japan yet.

SpeculationEdit

Nelvana hinted that there may be even more than 26 episodes, if Beywheelz is successful. Therefore it is possible, that after Shogun Steel ends in April 2014,  another 26 episodes will air, making Beywheelz reach the ideal number of 52 episodes, which most merchandise-themed anime have. An announcement may be made in October 2013, shortly after the launch of Beyblade: Shogun Steel.

The Japanese Broadcast of Beywheelz may occur in October 2013, along with other anime from d-rights like Scan2Go and possible new seasons of Cross Fight B-Daman and Beast Saga.
